There are occasions when it can be helpful for a counsellor to attend the worksite to support an individual employee or a number of employees, at the request of a manager. AccessEAP will work with the manager to understand what’s required and provide support to those involved. The reasons that a manager may request onsite support are varied however common examples are:
- Grief and loss (e.g. employee terminal illness or anticipated loss)
- Workplace stress (e.g. understaffing causing increased workload)
- Restructure and/or redundancy
- Proactive onsite (no specific incident but would like to support staff onsite).
Onsite Counselling
An arrangement can be made for a counsellor to visit the workplace and provide face to face counselling, to employees, on a regular ongoing basis.This separate service can be integrated into a Wellbeing Program to provide the most suitable access to support for a particular workforce.
